Junior Telco Engineer
Support technical field operations for DWDM and FTTx deployment projects. Focuses on physical installation, basic testing, site execution support, and technical documentation under the supervision of the Senior Engineer to ensure smooth project implementation.
What You'll Do
Perform physical installation activities including rack mounting, fiber optic cable pulling, and fusion splicing according to SOP/technical standards.
Assist with site surveys, data collection, and field measurements during project implementation.
Support commissioning activities including device power-up, patch cord connectivity, and device verification
Conduct basic testing using Optical Power Meter (OPM) and OTDR tools.
Record installation details, perform accurate cable and device labeling, and assist in preparing daily and weekly project documentation with high attention to data accuracy and completeness.
Maintain rack organization, equipment handling, and work area cleanliness during and after project execution.
What We're Looking For
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Basic understanding of fiber optic technology, cable color coding, splicing, and telecommunication hardware installation.
1–2 years of experience (including internship experience) in telecommunication installation or network deployment projects.
Basic knowledge of Python for operational efficiency will be an advantage.
Willing to travel for project assignments and work outside regular working hours if required.
Fast learner with strong discipline in following SOP and safety procedures.
